Commissie Individuele Tegemoetkoming Slachtoffers WO II-Transporten NS
1000 AK Amsterdam
The committee is currently preparing a recommendation on the content of the scheme. Although the committee considers it important that clarity is achieved as soon as possible, the process of setting up a satisfactory scheme must be pursued with due care. The recommendation is expected to be delivered to NS before the summer of 2019. Shortly afterwards, the scheme will be adopted and more information will be available on this website about the recommendation, the payment scheme and the application procedure.
As the scheme has not yet been adopted, the committee is not currently in a position to process applications or requests. However, you can send us your email address so that we can inform you in due course about the launch of the application procedure.
The committee has already received numerous requests from interested parties who were referred to the committee by NS. The committee understands why many people feel the need to communicate their views on this process and the content and scope of the scheme to the committee. As the preparation of the recommendation is currently the main priority and the committee needs to focus all of its time and attention on this task, it is not possible to take all of these views on board. However, the committee is seeking contact and collaboration with various organisations and institutions that have the relevant sources and knowledge required to ensure a well-considered recommendation. These include the NIOD, Camp Westerbork Remembrance Centre, the Social Insurance Bank, the Red Cross and the 1940–1945 Foundation. As soon as more information about the scheme is available, the committee will publish it on this website. Until then, the committee cannot provide any further information other than what is stated on this website.
